There was only one Lion

This is a poem I wrote based off of a few sentences in C.S. Lewis's "The Magician's Nephew".  I used a scene where Shasta, the main character, is talking to Aslan, the lion.

There was only one lion
He was swift of foot
I was the lion
I am the lion who forced you to join friends
I was the cat that comforted you
I am the lion who scared the jackals
I was the one that gave the horses strength
I am the one who saved you
I am Myself
There was only one lion
